Laundry Service South Wales Nappies operates a primary laundry service covering Cardiff, Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan, Barry, Usk, Caerphilly, Newport, Cwmbran, Monmouth, Abergavenny, Chepstow, Caldicot, Magor, Raglan, Woolaston and Lydney. We also now offer coverage to an extended area for a small additional weekly cost, this area includes Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, Ebbw Vale, Porthcawl, Brecon and Ross on Wye. We are happy to offer our service to customers in Swansea, Port Talbot and Neath. Please contact us for further details. How it Works Our first step is to offer you a home consultation to discuss your nappy requirements and offer you a full demonstration of how our prefold nappy system works. Should you wish to use our laundry service we will be able to get you started at this point with our nappy bin, your first week’s supply of nappies, nappy liners, laundry bag and a packet of our biodegradable wet wipes. We deliver you a weekly supply of nappies, the number you will need depends mainly on the age of your baby and the level of usage (e.g. daytime only or day and night time use). We will deliver to you up to 50 nappies a week but we can supply more for a small additional charge if required. We are also able to supply nappy wraps in a variety of styles and designs. All our customers are provided with pre-fold nappies which are easy to use and need no pins. Our nappy system simply folds inside an outer wrap for maximum efficiency and comfort. We have also recently introduced a shaped nappy service for those who prefer this system.
Once a week we will deliver your clean nappies and take away your dirty nappies. All our vehicles carry consumables such as liners, wet wipes and eco friendly disposable nappies. We also carry Ecover products and refills. We do not wash the wraps as those are simple enough to wash or wipe over yourself. Cleaning We take your nappies away to our laundry where they are washed to NHS standards to thermally disinfect and thoroughly rinsed three times to remove any residue of detergent. The nappies are then dried and each one is hand checked to ensure quality and cleanliness. The clean nappies are then packed in the correct quantity into biodegradable bags ready for your next delivery. How much does it cost? Subscription to our laundry service costs £25.00, this includes everything you need to get started such as liners and the bin and is yours to keep. We have two levels of service, the basic laundry service and the premium service. Primary Area (see map BLUE area) Our basic service is £8.50 a week (or £36.80 per month) for up to 50 nappies. This includes the provision of all the nappies and the laundering, as we supply all the nappies we can simply deliver you larger sizes as your baby grows. Price reductions are available for families with more than one child using the service. The premium laundry service includes everything from the basic service but also includes the hire of 4 outer wraps, 200 nappy liners a month and 3 packs of natural wet wipes a month. The premium service costs £54 a month which offers the opportunity to save money on buying the items seperately. We are able to hire out nappy wraps at the cost of 30p per wrap per week. This gives the flexibility to try out various styles before you purchase your own or to hire fancy wraps to suit your child’s wardrobe! South Wales Nappies are also able to sell you wraps at very competitive prices. Additional Area (see map RED area) Our basic service is £10.00 a week (or £43.00 per month) for up to 50 nappies. This includes the provision of all the nappies and the laundering, as we supply all the nappies we can simply deliver you larger sizes as your baby grows. Price reductions are available for families with more than one child using the service. The premium laundry service includes everything from the basic service but also includes the hire of 4 outer wraps, 200 nappy liners a month and 3 packs of natural wet wipes a month. The premium service costs £60.20 a month which offers the opportunity to save money on buying the items seperately. We are able to hire out nappy wraps at the cost of 30p per wrap per week. This gives the flexibility to try out various styles before you purchase your own or to hire fancy wraps to suit your child’s wardrobe! Cost Comparison
There is a cost for damaged goods beyond reasonable wear and tear. This does not refer to a stained nappy but is a replacement for when dogs eat them or toddlers get hold of scissors! The cost is £2 per nappy (pre folds) and £4 - £13 per wrap. Payment Payment must always be made in advance, before we are able to leave you your clean nappies. We have a late payment charge in operation, please ask for details. Most of our customers choose to set up a standing order on a 4 weekly or monthly basis. We are also able to accept cash and cheque's either in advance or on delivery. We are also able to incorporate regular ‘shopping list items’ into the weekly cost.
